when I dream of the sea

when I dream of the sea is a stand-alone work, or can be paired with the other when I dream series. Written in 2023 for members of the Curiosity Cabinet, this work explores the juxtaposition of 3/4 and 6/8 in a setting that ebbs and flows like the tide of the ocean. The series is largely a compilation of meditations on simple subjects, often exploring limited compositional materials to their extreme capacities. An alternative arrangement for violin and piano duo is in progress.
